Ingredients: 1 loaf of unsliced sourdough bread 4 eggs 2 Tablespoons milk 2 teaspoons cinnamon 1 Tablespoon sugar 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg 1 teaspoon vanilla Peanut oil Directions:
Slice sourdough loaf about 1-1 1/2 inch thick. Scramble the four eggs in a shallow dish and add milk and vanilla. Combine the dry ingredients and then add to the egg mixture. Whisk until combined. Dredge both sides of the bread and set aside. In a heavy skillet, heat the peanut oil (should be about 1/4-1/2 inch deep) until a tiny drop of the egg mixture fries. Add the egged bread and cook until golden brown on one side, then flip and do the same to the other side.
