4 Cups Basil gently patted down (washed, dried, and de-stemmed)
4 large cloves of garlic (chopped or pressed)
2/3 Cup of lightly toasted pine nuts (or walnuts)
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/4 Cups of high quality olive oil
Lightly toast pine nuts in the oven at 350 for about 10 minutes or until golden. After, pulse in the food processor until coarse along with the garlic. Add salt and pepper and basil leaves. Blend until coarse. Poor olive oil in through the feeder tube while keeping a steady stream. Blend until smooth. Add garlic and cheese. Blend until mixed.
